CLUB PROFILE
WBC has a long history in the Westboro area as the club is reported to have started
shortly after the end of World War I (1918). Throughout its years, the club has operated out of
different facilities but all within the Westboro area; until 1995, the club was known as
the Dovercourt Badminton Club.
The club runs from the beginning of September until the end of May every Monday and Thursday
evening from 7:00pm until 10:00pm. There are 4 wood floor courts. The walls are white (play is with
yellow birds), the ceilings are high and the playing area is well lit. The club has an active social
committee which organizes activities year round and our tournament organizer is always looking for
interested players to participate in the many tournaments WBC plays in each season.

(Nearest major intersection is Dovercourt and Broadview which is easily accessed by taking
either the Carling Ave. W or the Maitland Ave. N exit off HWY 417)
